Let’s Groove closes out the year on a special night featuring Chris Davies from the DJ duo Disco Freaks and the musical outfit AXNÉR. Expect feel-good disco, boogie bangers and house with the occasional sly banger - all spun exclusively on 7” vinyl. And yes, DJ MON.DEE joins Chris behind the turntables with his touch on classics and rare grooves across soul, funk, new jack swing and nu-disco.

Chris launched Disco Freaks 12 years ago in London, England has since spun records across the world including shows in New York, Italy, Australia, Sweden & Croatia and festivals including Glastonbury & Bestival. He’s played alongside legends of the game including Roy Ayers, Change, Natasha Diggs & Marcellus Pittman, for Defected & Glitterbox, plus at iconic venues such as Fabric & Ministry Of Sound.
In 2021 Chris launched AXNÉR, a contemporary disco band. They’ve released sell-out records that have featured members of Nile Rodgers & Chic, Al ‘Million Dollar Disco’ Kent & John Morales and have been supported by BBC 6Music’s Craig Charles & Coleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy.

MON.DEE is the DJ and curator who started “Let’s Groove” in 2023. His sets are known to connect early soul, funk, and R&B to the genres they later inspired, including 70s/80s disco & pop, 90s dance music & hip hop, new jack swing as well as Nu-Disco.
Often layering tracks and samples, his mixing at times features subtle elements of storytelling. His creative approach across different genres and eras always sparks moments of recognition, surprise, discovery and above all enjoyment for the dancefloors he’s played at in Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.
