Max Regers intensiva Der Mensch lebt und besteht uttrycker livets komplexitet, och Paul Mealors Ubi caritas et amor hyllar kärlekens kraft som livets grund. Caroline Shaws poetiska and the swallow symboliserar hopp och förnyelse, samtidigt som Alvin Vikmans Lost hope skildrar livets mörkare stunder.

What is life? That question is explored in this multifaceted programme, in which each work offers its own unique interpretation. Ann-Sofi Söderberg’s What is life? opens a space for reflection on the meaning of existence. Sven-Eric Johanson’s Snabbt jagar stormen våra år captures the fleeting passage of time and change. Ingvar Lidholm’s De profundis delves deeply into the human struggle for understanding, while Gösta Nystroem’s Säg mig du seeks connection and empathy. Max Reger’s intense Der Mensch lebt und besteht expresses the complexity of human life, and Paul Mealor’s Ubi caritas et amor celebrates love as life’s foundation. Caroline Shaw’s poetic and the swallow evokes hope and renewal, while Alvin Vikman’s Lost hope portrays life’s darker moments. Together, these works form a profound musical meditation on the nature of life.
